Unique Superknot Construction

Superknot Sheep & Livestock fence is constructed using the unique ‘Superknot’. This revolutionary knot fixes the vertical wire in place ensuring that it cannot be moved out of place by stock.

The Superknot also allows for wider spaces between the vertical wires as there is no danger of stock putting their heads between the verticals and moving them out of place.

This feature gives the fence far greater vertical rigidity than conventional stock fence.
The Superknot is smooth, with no sharp edges that could damage an animal’s hide or fleece.

Requires Fewer Posts.

Unlike traditional sheep fence, Superknot Sheep & Livestock fence is constructed with a single uncut vertical wire. This construction allows the vertical wire to act like a batten and supports the horizontal wires. This allows Superknot to be installed with up to 50% fewer posts than traditional High Tensile stock fencing.

The unique Superknot construction is 24% stronger than any other fixed-knot deer fencing and lends itself to easier installation of the fence and a requirement for fewer posts.

Tired of replacing rotting wooden posts? Choose the high quality alternative… DuraPosts

In recent years, the problem of failing farm fencing posts has become particularly common. From more than 22 years of experience in the fencing business, McNamara Fencing has learned which posts last and which ones don’t.

McNamara Fencing DuraPosts are manufactured from imported European Larch, Scots Pine and Douglas Fir. These species are naturally durable and retain more preservative than Native whitewood (Spruce). They are strictly dried to low moisture content and only when dry enough, they are Pressure treated with Genuine Coal Tar Creosote for maximum penetration.

DuraPosts are treated using Genuine Coal Tar Creosote (which, contrary to popular belief, is still available for commercial and agricultural use) as it is the oldest and most reliable wood preservative available as evidenced by its usage in electricity poles across the country.
