Timber post
and rail fencing is one of the most attractive and effective fences
you can put on your property. We insist that all timber post and
rail fences supplied by McNamara Fencing are manufactured to a very
high specification, that specifies all of our timber is dried to
a maximum of 28% moisture content before impregnation. It is then
treated with coal tar creosote under pressure or with Tanalith to
RC 25 specification to ensure a long service life. Our post and
rail fencing is manufactured using only Pine (Redwood), Larch or
Douglas Fir timber to further ensure a long service life.

Advantages of Pressure Creosoted timber:
Pressure Creosoting has shown itself to be the most reliable timber preservative available, a fact proven by its usage in the utility sector with electricity and telephone companies using this treatment to preserve their transmission poles and also in the railway industry to preserve railway sleepers.
Pressure creosoting has been used as a method of
timber preservation for more than 100 years.
Another advantage of pressure creosoted fencing is that due to the unpalatable nature of timber preserved with creosote, horses do not like to chew on the fence, thereby reducing maintenance costs for you and also reducing the chances of your horse swallowing some harmful debris.

Sizes Available:
All Dimensions and specifications can be ordered, including D-Rail.
Cost effective:
Due to its long service life Pressure creosoted post and rail fencing is therefore one of the most effective fencing types available. While other timber fences may fail or decay after 7 or 8 years, with pressure creosoted post & rail you can rest assured that a fence built using pressure creosoted timber will last for many years to come, eliminating the cost of replacement posts and labour required to install them.
All pressure creosoted post & rail supplied by McNamara Fencing has a minimum expected service life of 15 years.
